WHO WE ARE
DEVELOPING PLAYERS TO
help achieve their POTENtiAL
We are promoting the game of volleyball in the Holmes County and our local rural communities. Our goal is to create a positive learning environment where players can improve their overall volleyball skills and knowledge of the game. Consistent improvement of fundamental skills enhances a player’s ability to reach a higher level of competition and their full potential. EVC's philosophy in teaching these fundamental volleyball skills starts with our staff. We believe our Directors and Coaches lead and direct by example. We teach on an experienced level and provide a personal family friendly atmosphere while working with a small player to coach ratio for a positive volleyball experience. We want to help players develop and improve individual skills, understand team strategy and tactics to compete at the next level.

OUR Staff
D.J. Justice Club Director 16s Co-Coach
Patrick Obrst
16s Co-coach
Hi, my name is D.J. Justice. Club Director and Co-Coach of our 16s Team. I'm entering my 17th year in coaching, with most of the last 8 years focused on volleyball. My wife and I have just celebrated our 17th year together, and we have a family of 6 with 3 daughters and son. I have loved working with the local youth over the many years and I have a deep connection with Holmes County. I have played sports at the collegiate level and with that experience that I aquired, I wanted to that knowledge back and share with our youth.
My name is Patrick Obrst, I am a father of Rowyn Obrst, who will be co-coaching the 16U team this year, and husband to my wonderful wife Erin of 20 years. We enjoy relaxing outdoors, taking rides on our SXS, slowpitch softball, and family get-togethers. I have been a small business owner as a log truck driver for the past 18 years. I am currently serving in the United States Marine Corps, going on my 23rd year. I started as a Machine Gunner and am currently serving as an Ops Chief and Senior Instructor to Naval Officers.
This will be my 3rd year as an Assistant Coach alongside DJ Justice for Eclipse. Admittingly, my knowledge of volleyball is limited, as it was new to me just a couple years ago, but what I bring to the table is the importance of teamwork, attitude, fitness, coachability and being a good person! My 22 years of military service, and lifelong competitor of sports has taught me the importance of teamwork, trusting in each other, and being a good friend. A player’s ability can only go so far, but if the team doesn’t gel, all can be lost. I try to incorporate fun, team building, fitness and overall camaraderie within the team. I look forward to our best season yet!
Sam Weber 17s Coach
Cortney Hermon 15s Co-Coach
Makenzie Harmon 15s Co-Coach
Hi, my name is Sam Weber. I am Jasi and Laini Weber’s mom, both members of Eclipse Volleyball Club last year and on West Holmes Volleyball team. I worked in Human Resources for over 16 years. I played sports in high school and have learned to love the game of volleyball as a mom/fan. I have had formal training in many different types of coaching and dipped my toe in some parks n recreation coaching in the past. Last year was my first year as a head coach for Eclipse. I enjoyed it more than I ever dreamed I would. I was thrilled to watch the team grow and develop their physical and mental skills throughout the season. By the end of the season we had many come backs when the chips were down. The girls’ mental strength and level teamwork by the end of the season was just incredible to watch. I am very excited to be coaching the 17’s team this coming season!
Hello, my name is Cortney Herman. I have coached volleyball for 5+ years. I previously have coached the Varsity Team at Wooster Christian and coached club ball for Tandem VBC and Spirit VBC. When I'm not coaching, I am spending time with my husband Matt and our two children or working at Mast Lepley where I work in the office. I am so excited to be joining the Eclipse Family this year along with my co-coach Makenzie. We hope to bring our strong knowledge and love of the game to this club. We are hoping to build a strong competitive team to compete at a higher level this season.
Hi, my name is Makenzie Harmon. I have played volleyball for 7 years. I played both School and travel ball as a defensive specialists. This will be my 5th year coaching volleyball. I work at Protouch Vehicle Protection in Wooster, and I decorate cakes on the side. When I'm not working or at volleyball I love spending time with my boyfriend Zac, and my two cats Pipe & Penelope. I am outdoorsy and adventerous and always looking for a beach when the weather is nice. To say that I'm excited about joining the Eclipse family with my co-coach Cortney is an understatement. I'm looking forward to meeting new people and instilling the knowledge and love that we have for the game of volleyball. There is nothing better to watch than a group of girls growing and succeeding in this game, and I am here for it!

Hi! My name is Tia LeMar. I’m currently the lead behavior specialist at the LEAP Program in Mansfield. I work with all ages K-12, but most often kindergarten-3rd graders. My passion is in working with kids and I feel very fortunate for the opportunity to do so- both in my career and coaching. I graduated from Triway in 2017 and played volleyball when I was there. I went on to do my college courses through Liberty University and stuck with volleyball recreationally. This past spring, I had the opportunity to coach volleyball clinics at Wooster and fell in love with coaching. I am so excited to get started with Eclipse and the team! I look forward to a great year of helping build our girls into better players, teammates, and individuals.

In addition to playing recreational volleyball, I have extensive experience coaching at YMCA camps, where I have had the opportunity to mentor young athletes and help them develop their skills and confidence both on and off the court.
